BOYE – Business Opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs

Campus Safe Exchange Guidelines

Peer-to-peer safety standards for students in Bannu, Peshawar, Karak, Lakki, DI Khan & Kohat

1. Meet in a Busy, Public Place

Always schedule physical item inspections and cash handovers during daylight hours in populated public areas:

University & College GatesMain security checkpoint or university campus entrance.
City Commercial SquaresOpen main market squares, plazas, or university road spots.
Cafeterias & BakeriesWell-lit student cafeterias or reputable tea spots.
College Transit StopsOfficial student bus terminal or pick-up station.

2. Never Pay in Advance (Zero Deposits)

BOYE has 0% fees, no middleman escrow, and no advance booking charges.

  • Never send money via EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or bank transfer before physically inspecting the item or hostel room.
  • Be cautious of any seller or landlord requesting an advance deposit to “hold” a room or book. Genuine students are happy to meet in person first.

3. Inspect the Item or Room Thoroughly

Take your time to inspect the item carefully before paying:

  • Textbooks & Notes: Confirm syllabus edition, check for missing chapters or torn pages.
  • Calculators & Tech: Turn on scientific calculators, test buttons and displays, check charger cords.
  • Hostels: Visit the actual room in daylight, test plumbing/electricity, and verify mess rules.
  • Tuition: Discuss syllabus, timetable, and qualifications with the tutor upfront.

4. Inform Family or Friends Before Sharing a Ride

When sharing a carpool or meeting someone for the first time:

  • Inform a family member, classmate, or roommate of your departure location, destination, and estimated arrival time.
  • Share the driver’s phone number, vehicle model, and license plate number with a trusted friend.
  • If something feels off or unsafe at any point, decline the ride or meetup immediately.
